Mizuki Nana 7th album – ULTIMATE DIAMOND

Most people probably have already caught wind about this, but I still feel obliged to make a post on it.

Tracklisting & a preview of one of the songs (Gimmick Game), and other thoughts under the cut.

Edit 1: added cover art

Edit 2: Oh Jesus, the official site updated with more tracks.

Edit 3: Can’t they just do this all at once? Gosh. There’s even a special page for the album now.

Edit 4: Final tracklisting with the correct track numbers. Regular edition cover released (which looks absolutely yummy) and a preview of Esturaku Camellia.

GOD that took forever, looking up the reading of all the names. I’m still contemplating whether I should skip out on this one. There’s only three new tracks, and basically they just took all the A-sides from her past couple of singles and stuffed it in here.. of course, the main dish is probably the live event DVD included in the limited edition, containing footage of the play she did back in November last year (or somewhere around there). Still, it’s rather disappointing, seeing how it’s especially the seventh (Nana) album too.

Gimmick Game also streamed on Smile Gang today:

It’s at the 18:59 mark, and is the full SG episode because I can’t find a ripped version yet. Just now when I was looking up for a link, I found that Ninomiya (of Arashi) also had a song entitled this. Kind of disturbing <_>. Anyways, it’s my style of song, though I can’t hear a word she’s saying (・ω・) I feel a bit better about the album now.

Etsuraku Camellia preview:

Whoa — I really like this one! This song brings out Nana-san’s strong vocals as opposed to some other songs (e.g. Mogacho LOL). This slightly reminds me of Kouga Ninpochou which rings in my head every so often.  I was actually thinking of skipping out on this one just a few days ago but now my motivation has been refueled.

The regular edition cover is NICE. Way better than Trickster’s. Of the two I probably prefer the regular edition (face not obstructed by apple :D), but I seriously am in no position to get two copies of the same damn thing. I guess I’ll have to suffice with online scans of that.
